Common questions about outbid.lol — how the public leaderboard works, what a rank costs, and what you can list. The rules and terms are the source of truth if anything here conflicts.

What is outbid.lol?

outbid.lol is a public product leaderboard where rank is what you pay. There are no ads, no API keys, and no revenue share. You list a product website or an X profile, pay a rank amount, and sit above everyone who paid less. The site launched on August 19, 2026.

All-time board · About

How does outbid.lol work?

Paste a product URL or X handle, pick a category, and pay. A completed payment claims the rank. New listings start at $10. Taking #1 costs at least $5 more than the current #1. Paying less still puts you on the board at whatever rank that amount can take. Equal amounts stay in the order they were placed — the older listing keeps the higher rank.

Rules

How much does it cost to rank on outbid.lol?

New listings are whole US dollars, $10 minimum, $999,999 maximum, $1 at a time. Taking first place costs at least $5 more than the current #1. If you are already on the board, checkout only charges the difference when you raise your rank.

How ranking works

How do I get #1 on outbid.lol?

Pay at least $5 more than whoever is currently #1 on that board. On All-time that is the highest amount ever paid for a listing. On Today it is the most anyone else spent in the last 24 hours. Rank is assigned when payment is confirmed, at whatever position that amount then supports.

What is the difference between the All-time, Today, and Daily boards?

One payment ranks you on every board that includes that spend. All-time is everything you have ever paid for that listing and does not expire. Today is a rolling 24 hours — each payment counts from the moment you paid, then drops off a day later. Daily is a UTC calendar day, midnight to midnight, starting August 21, 2026. Past Daily boards freeze as an archive.

Can I raise my rank after I already paid?

Yes. Enter the same URL or @handle again. The new amount must be at least $1 above your current rank, and checkout only charges the difference. Someone else cannot take your rank by paying only that difference.

Rules

Are payments on outbid.lol refundable?

No. All payments are final and not refundable. Being outranked later, a drop on Today's board after 24 hours, fewer clicks than you hoped for, or a later removal for breaking the rules does not create a refund.

Terms of Service

What can I list on outbid.lol?

A product website or an X @handle that you own or are authorized to represent. Chat and invite links are not allowed — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal, and similar. Sexual content, NSFW, and adult platforms are not allowed. Query parameters are stripped, so affiliate and tracking URLs will not work. Link shortener URLs are replaced by the URL they redirect to. Website listings must show valid company details.

How do categories work on outbid.lol?

Every listing sits in one category, such as developer tools, SEO, marketing, or AI agents. New listings pick a category at checkout. Existing listings were auto-assigned by AI. If yours is wrong, DM @jonathan_wilke on X to have it changed. Category boards have their own All-time and Today rankings.

Do rankings on outbid.lol expire?

All-time ranks do not expire. Today ranks drop off 24 hours after each payment. Daily ranks close at the end of that UTC calendar day and then stay frozen in the archive.

What happens if someone else pays while I am checking out?

Rank is assigned when your payment is confirmed, at whatever position that amount then supports. If someone else paid more while you were in checkout, you still land on the board — just not necessarily at the rank you aimed for.

Who created outbid.lol?

Jonathan Wilke, an indie hacker from Germany. The site launched on August 19, 2026 as a side project with no ads and no revenue share.

How is outbid.lol different from Product Hunt or other launch directories?

outbid.lol is not a launch vote. There is no upvote, no hunter, and no review queue. Rank is only what you pay. The board is public, rankings stay visible, and one payment counts across All-time, Today, and Daily windows.
